The Number That Matters: Turning Circle
Minimum turning circle is the tightest circle the truck can turn. Our compact range turns tighter than standard forklifts - this number, not the marketing term 'compact', determines your aisle requirement. Exact figures are confirmed during quotation.
Calculate Your Stacking Aisle Width
For right-angle stacking, a practical planning formula is: turning circle + load length + safety clearance. The exact aisle width depends on the model's turning circle and your pallet size - send us your measurements for verification.
Pallet Size Changes Everything
A 1,000 x 1,200 mm EUR pallet and a 1,100 x 1,100 mm Asian standard pallet behave differently in the same aisle. Longer loads need more room and reduce effective capacity at longer load centers. Always state your pallet size in the RFQ.
When You Actually Need a Reach Truck
If your aisles are under roughly 2.8 m or your racking exceeds 6 m, a counterbalance forklift - however compact - is the wrong tool. That is reach truck territory, a different machine class. For aisles between about 3 and 4 meters with racking up to 5 m, a compact electric counterbalance is the simplest and cheapest answer.
